Fabric & Design:
The Petal Abaya features a delicate sheer floral outer layer with intricate floral embellishments and detailed embroidery, paired with a matching inner abaya and coordinating hijab. Due to the delicate nature of the sheer fabric and raised floral detailing, gentle care is recommended to help maintain its shape, colour, texture, and overall appearance. The inner abaya should also be handled carefully to preserve its smooth and elegant finish.

Washing:
Hand wash recommended to protect the delicate outer layer and floral embellishments.
If washing at home:
• Hand wash gently in cold water
• Use a mild liquid detergent
• Turn the abaya inside out before washing
• Wash separately or with similar colours
• Handle gently and avoid excessive rubbing or friction
• Do not scrub directly over the floral embellishments or embroidery
• Do not pull, stretch, or rub the raised floral details
• Do not bleach
• Do not use harsh detergents or fabric softeners
• Do not soak for long periods
• Do not wring or twist
Machine washing is not preferred. If necessary, use a delicate cycle with cold water and place the outer abaya inside a mesh laundry bag to help reduce snagging and friction.


Drying:
• Air dry naturally in the shade
• Hang on a padded or wide hanger, or lay flat to dry
• Keep away from direct sunlight to help protect the colours
• Do not wring or twist
• Do not tumble dry
• Avoid radiators, hair dryers, or other direct heat sources
Air drying away from direct sunlight is recommended for delicate mesh and satin fabrics, as heat and excessive exposure can affect the fabric and finish.


Ironing / Steaming:
Steaming is recommended for gently removing wrinkles while avoiding unnecessary pressure on the delicate floral details.
If ironing is needed:
• Use the lowest heat setting suitable for the fabric
• Turn the garment inside out
• Place a pressing cloth between the iron and fabric
• Avoid direct contact with the floral embellishments and embroidery
• Never apply high heat directly to the sheer outer layer
• Do not press the iron repeatedly over the same area
For delicate mesh and satin, low heat and a protective pressing cloth help reduce the risk of heat damage.

Storage:
• Hang on a padded or wide hanger to maintain the flowing shape
• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
• Avoid overcrowding the wardrobe to prevent friction and snagging
• For long-term storage, use a breathable garment bag
• Keep away from rough or sharp surfaces that may catch the sheer fabric
• Avoid placing heavy garments directly on top of the floral detailing
• When folding, avoid creating sharp folds directly over the raised floral embellishments.
