Embroidered Cashew Jacquard cashmere Wool Shawl Care Instructions

Washing:
Hand wash gently in cold or lukewarm water with a mild wool-safe detergent or baby shampoo. Do not rub, twist or wring the fabric to prevent damage to the wool fibers and embroidery. If you choose to machine wash (only if necessary), use the wool or delicate cycle at cold temperature, place the shawl inside a mesh laundry bag, and wash with similar colors. Never use bleach, harsh detergents or fabric softeners as they can weaken the wool fibers.

Drying:
After washing, gently press out excess water by hand or roll the shawl inside a clean towel do not wring or twist. Lay the shawl flat to dry on a clean surface, reshaping it to its original form. Dry away from direct sunlight and heat sources (like radiators) to prevent shrinking, color fading, or distortion. Never tumble dry.

Ironing/Steaming:
Use a handheld steamer or steam iron on a low wool setting to refresh the shawl and ease wrinkles. If ironing, always place a thin cloth (pressing cloth) between the iron and the shawl, iron on low heat, and avoid pressing directly on the embroidery or tassels. High heat can damage the delicate wool fibers.

Storage:
Fold the shawl neatly or loosely roll it to prevent creases. Store in a cool, dry place away from humidity and sunlight. Avoid hanging for long periods, as wool can stretch under its own weight. For extra protection, use breathable cotton or muslin storage bags and consider natural moth repellents (like cedar blocks or lavender sachets) near not directly touching the shawl.
